摘要/Abstract

内容摘要： 左拉之文学“实验”观念及文学“科学化”主张,一方面将自然科学对“人”的新发现运用于文学创作,拓宽了人的描写领域;另一方面又从科学观念中汲取合乎文学本质要求的怀疑精神和自由精神,形成了“实验主义”的文学新理念。“实验小说”之“实验”观念,其要旨是颠覆传统,不断创新;在“实验”观念所开启的“反传统”思想立场与先锋姿态方面,自然主义与现代主义息息相通。现代主义之“实验主义”的精神品格与方法论,直接源自自然主义所倡导的“小说实验”。“实验主义”引发了空前的创新奇观,但其“反传统”的先锋姿态绝不意味着与文学传统的“断裂”。

Abstract: The “experimental” literary notion and the “scientific” literary doctrine of Emile Zola have expanded the range of description of man by applying the new discovery of “Man” by natural sciences to literary creation. On the other hand, they have formed a new “experimental” literary notion by absorbing the spirit of skepticism and freedom from scientific notions which meets the essential requirements of literature. The key of the “experimental” notion in “The Experimental Novel” is to overturn tradition and keep creative. In terms of the “anti-traditional” standing point and the avant-garde gesture initiated by the “experimental” notion, Naturalism and Modernism are quite similar. The “experimental” spirit and methodology of Modernism were directly originated from the “novel experiment” upheld by Naturalism. “The experimentalism” caused unprecedented creative wonder while its “anti-traditional” avant-garde gesture never meant “disruption” from literary traditions.
