Abstract: Alice Munro: Reminiscence, Interpretation, Adaptation and Comparison, a new collection of essays edited by Polish scholars, has sought pluralistic and dialogic approaches conducive to multiple perspectives in its exploration into the intertextuality of Munro's works. Munro studies in China are hindered somehow due to lack of thorough intertextual interpretations, which probably has caused such problems as narrow topic selection, lack of understanding of the stories' complexity and openness, and insufficient comparative studies. The collection, with its extensive intertextual analysis, has thus created new possibilities for interpretation and dialogue. This review will analyze the collection's exploration of Munro's intertextuality mainly in the light of the classification of intratextuality and extratextuality introduced by Hatim and Mason. Hopefully, the collection will help us explore more forms of intertextuality in her works and expand the scope of Munro studies.
