Engaging in the Dynamics of Cosmopolitan Reading: A Review of Cosmopolitanism and the Literary Imagination

Abstract: Cosmopolitanism is now understood as a perspective that reevaluates literary traditions in a global context so as to single out various cosmopolitan elements behind literary imagination. A case in point is Cyrus R. K. Patell's Cosmopolitanism and the Literary Imagination which examines a set of texts to cultivate cosmopolitan reading practices.
